Career Services

Friday, 20 January 2012

AGS provides its students and graduates with career services ranging from networking opportunities during the program, to professional development workshops, to individual career counseling, CV writing assistance, and interview guidance. The international network of AGS alumni also provides a precious source of contacts and support extending to many countries across the globe.

Opportunities during the program

Internships

In addition to providing hands-on experience, internships are a very efficient way to make useful professional connections. Many AGS students take advantage of this opportunity by doing an internship during their program. Several of our graduates have found a permanent position thanks to connections previously made during their internships.

Career workshops

Once a semester, AGS holds a workshop where alumni or guest speakers offer insight and guidance for job search and professional development, with panel presentations and Q and A sessions on such topics as resume writing, networking strategies, interviewing techniques, and digital profile management.

Resume-writing assistance and career counseling

During the program as well as in preparation for graduation, you are always welcome to schedule an individual meeting with the AGS academic coordinator to discuss your career projects and receive advice and guidance. On request, we may also provide assistance for the writing or editing of your CV/resumes and cover letters, in English as well as in French.

Job ads

Thanks to AGS’s connections and reputation in Paris and in the international affairs community, and through our network of alumni, we receive notifications of position openings, which we share with our alumni and graduating students.
