Model United Nations (MUN)

Monday, 17 October 2016

AGS students are encouraged to participate in Model United Nations simulations as a perfect way to complement the knowledge acquired in the classroom with applied experience and insight into the workings of the United Nations.

Preparation for the conferences is an integral part of the experience. It involves personal research into the countries’ policies, and weekly meetings to practice negotiation strategies, rules of procedure, debating, and public speaking. The entire process gives students a cutting edge in the pursuit of their careers, whether in the public or private sector.

Previous AGS MUN teams have earned multiple awards in several international conferences, including Cambridge, London, Paris, and Barcelona. The AGS MUN teams are student-organized and student-led. AGS supports these initiatives through faculty advising and potentiel travel funding.
